Will Inexpensive Health Insurance Be Detrimental?
Health insurance is a huge topic of conversation. From the presidential candidates basing major parts of their campaigning on it to everyday talk, health care affects everyone. With the aging population starting to realize that their insurance provided by their employers may not always be there, everyone is scrambling.
Medicare only covers so much. And no one knows how long the government can continue to support the population.
The medical industry is totally depended upon having patients and customers with health insurance. If the general population had inexpensive coverage available, many more could afford to have a plan. I believe that a cheap plan would be anything but detrimental.
The high costs of health care include all the bills that have gone unpaid by the uninsured. Everyone with coverage is paying for those who go without. Those lacking coverage tend to allow medical expenses to build up, and the medical community never receives payment for any charges. Eating those charges would cause every hospital system in America to go bankrupt. Offering an affordable plan would guarantee payment by the provider, and thus making everyone’s medical expenses decrease.
Affordable health insurance would help government relax. Many children who are not currently covered by a parent’s work based insurance plan have various versions of Medicaid. If the parents had an inexpensive alternative numerous amounts of those children would no longer be depended on the state.
The current system of expensive coverage is what is detrimental to the medical community and society as a whole. The high costs are directly coming from the unpaid bills of others. Health plans are a sure fire way for hospitals and doctor’s offices to receive payment for services.
